Our 2004 Napa Valley Cabernet has a dark garnet color, and is fragrant with cassis, blueberry, brown sugar, and cinnamon nuances. On the palate, impressions of ripe blackberry, cassis, and dark chocolate flavors are prominent with a velvety texture. The finish reveals more suggestions of cassis, blueberry, and vanilla. It is elegant, with very fine tannins and a balanced acidity, which will allow it to mature gracefully for another four years.
Drink this wine now with classic entrées of lamb, beef, venison, boar, and game fowl. It has youthful fruit that pairs nicely with such meats that use herbs and spices to accentuate them, such as lamb and rosemary, steak au poivre, etc.
